Davy Williams
The "Mandarin-speaking Montanan", has appeared in more than 50 films, dramas, variety shows and other programs... mostly Chinese productions. Born and raised in Montana, Davy worked in LA in the early 2000s until he moved to China in 2006. He achieved fame on the Chinese version of "Star Search" in 2008, then for the next 10 years worked mostly in China, working on the occasional project stateside. He is fluent in Mandarin, and is author of the book "Move to China". Davy is a feature film Producer/writer, mostly focusing on Chinese-American action comedies. His first feature, "Chinese Speaking Vampires", was filmed in 2020, and recently released on Amazon Prime. His second feature film, "Slant Streets", was filmed on location in Montana in 2020, and will be released soon as well. Most of his acting roles are Military, CIA, special forces, Policeman, or "token foreign scientist/Medical expert" on Chinese TV shows and movies. He also has martial arts fighting experience and boxing training. He plays Sax and can sing Chinese songs. After many years in China, he is back in the US, where he started an indie film production company, Kung Pao Pictures. He also has worked as a ski instructor, Mandarin tutor and trucker. He graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Civil engineering.
