Jessica Cruz
Jessica Cruz is a South Asian - American actress and filmmaker. When Jessica was 9 years old, she wrote in her school yearbook that she wants to be an actress when she's older. After spending a lot of time dancing along to Hindi songs, imitating the dance moves and facial expressions of Indian actresses she grew up watching, and re-enacting the entire movie of "Wizard of Oz", Jessica auditioned for her first play in middle school. After 2 failed auditions, on her 3rd try, she finally landed her first ever acting role as the Cruise Director in the non-musical play of "Anchors Aweigh". After having been heavily involved in theater throughout school, she's now become heavily involved in the film world as an Actress, Producer, Editor, Casting Assistant, and Production Assistant. During the Pandemic, Jessica remotely produced a short film titled "Orchid Daydreams", in which she played a leading role. She garnered multiple semi-finalist, finalist, and honorable mention positions in various film festivals for her performance as Naomi. She also went on to win Best Actress in a Drama at the Best Actor Awards New York, and Best Actor of the Year at the Mumbai International Film Awards. In addition, her self-tape performance of Rue's monologue from HBO's "Euphoria" won Best Monologue at the Best Actor Awards New York. Her most notable credits include: "Burn It All", "Orchid Daydreams", "Chat", and "The Concurrence".
